Ceremony, to be held on Saturday 25th September 2011 at 17:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Palazzo dell’Annunziata of Sulmona

Eliminatory 26th-27th-28th September 2011: two arias chosen by the competitor from his/her list.

Semi-Final 29th September 2011: two of the remaining three arias chosen by the Jury.
On 30th September and on 1st October 2011 the final candidates will be involved with the orchestra rehearsals.

Final 2nd October : two arias chosen by the Jury from the com- petitor’s list, one sung with piano, the other with orchestra.

PRIZES:
1st Prize
: € 5.000,00 and two concerts
2nd Prize: € 2.500,00 and two concerts
3rd Prize: € 1.500,00 and two concerts

The concerts will be held during the days following immediately the final of the competition.

SPECIAL PRIZE

: € 1.000,00
The prize is awarded by the Jury to one of the best final singers

SPECIAL PRIZE “LIONS CLUB” SULMONA: € 500,00
The prize is awarded by the Jury to one of the best final singers

SPECIAL PRIZE “ROTARY CLUB” SULMONA: € 500,00
The prize is awarded by the Jury to one of the best final singers

SPECIAL PRIZE “LOTTE LEHMANN FOUNDATION”:
The prize is granted by Wintergreen Performing Art and Lotte Lehmann Foundation in New York City. It consists of two concerts at the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival in Wintergreen Virginia USA (6th July - 5th August 2012). The cost of travel and accomodation will be refunded. The prize is awarded by the Jury to the best female voice.

SPECIAL PRIZE “BENVENUTO FRANCI”
The prize will be awarded by the Jury to the best male voice. It consists of a concert in Pienza (Si).

The Singing Competition “Maria Caniglia” promotes; along with the competitions “Città di Bologna”, “Benvenuto Franci” of Pienza and “Alselmo Colzani” of Budrio, the network for the promotion and exploitation of the young talented singers, supported by the honour committee presided by Adua Veroni.
